Refund Policy

Refund Eligibility

Donations made through GAL Spark are generally non-refundable, as they are charitable contributions. However, refunds may be processed in the following circumstances:

  • Campaign cancellation: If a campaign is cancelled before any funds have been disbursed to the trust or beneficiary, donors are eligible for a full refund.
  • Verified fraud: If our Trust & Safety team determines that a campaign was fraudulent, all donors will receive a full refund.
  • Duplicate transaction: If you were charged multiple times for the same donation due to a technical error, the duplicate amount will be refunded.
  • Incorrect amount: If a processing error resulted in a charge different from the intended donation amount, the difference will be refunded.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, go to your Donor Dashboard > Donations > select the donation > click "Request Refund." Alternatively, you can submit a request through our Grievance Portal or email us at support@galspark.in with your donation ID.

Processing Time

Once approved, refunds are processed within 5-7 business days. The amount will be credited back to the original payment method (bank account, card, or UPI). GAL Wallet refunds are credited instantly.

Non-Refundable Situations

  • Donations where funds have already been disbursed to the trust or beneficiary.
  • Donations made more than 90 days ago (except in fraud cases).
  • Gift card purchases that have already been redeemed.
  • Platform fees and payment gateway charges on refunded donations.

Tax Receipt Adjustment

If a refund is processed for a donation that received an 80G tax receipt, the receipt will be cancelled and you will be notified. Please adjust your tax filings accordingly.
